Sinead Cusack on her love of stage villains
Actress Sinead Cusack has revealed she was anxious about taking on her latest role, as a staunch republican matriarch.
Cusack plays Polly a hard-line right-wing Californian, in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities.
She told the Andrew Marr Show: "I was repelled and moved in equal measure. When I first read the play I thought 'can I bare to play this woman'."
But it appears she may now have a taste for villainous roles, as she also revealed she'd love to play the infamous King Richard III.
