Shaun the Sheep voted UK's favourite kids' TV character
Shaun the Sheep has been voted the nation's favourite children's TV character, beating off rivals such as Postman Pat, Paddington and the Wombles.
The Aardman character, who made his debut in the 1995 film Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave, was given his own series in 2007.
The poll, conducted by the Radio Times and the British Film Institute, received 41,000 votes.
Richard Starzak, creator of Shaun the Sheep's television show, told BBC Radio 5 live's Drive: "To realise... people love him is amazing".
