Hasselhoff: Williams' characters 'blew people away'

David Hasselhoff has paid tribute to Robin Williams.

The actor and singer told the Today programme that Williams was a "genius" for the breadth of his work, and news of his death is "just devastating", especially for his family.

"Every film he's done showed a depth of character that blew people away because you didn't expect it from him."

He added that Williams "was an amazing man, who raised millions of dollars and cared more about other people than he cared about himself".
