Pink Floyd's Gilmour 'surprised' by new album response

Pink Floyd have released what they say is their final studio album, The Endless River, consisting of sessions recorded more than 20 years ago.

Having revisited the tapes of sessions from 1993 for the album The Division Bell, band members David Gilmour and Nick Mason decided there was enough material for another album.

Guitarist and singer David Gilmour speaks to the Today programme's James Naughtie.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday November 10 2014.
