How to do the perfect Oscars speech

Excitement is growing in Hollywood ahead of Sunday night's Oscars, and the hopeful nominees will be turning their minds towards what to say if they win.

But making a good Oscars speech is not as easy as it might seem.

The annual Academy Awards ceremony is a tightly run ship, with time at a premium, and no one wants to be "played off" by the orchestra.

So how do you thank everyone, cry, and crack a joke in 45 seconds?
