The Big Painting Challenge: Meet art's toughest critics
From beautiful countryside landscapes to critical self portraits, the search is on to find Britain's best amateur artist.
Under the watchful eye of the judges, the budding painters take part in a number of challenges in the hope of being crowned the winner of a new BBC series, The Big Painting Challenge.
Daphne Todd and Lachlan Goudie describe their judging style as "blunt and blunter" as BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt and Sally Nugent discovered when showing off their own efforts.
The Big Painting Challenge starts on BBC1 on Sunday at 6pm.
