Re-interpreting Dante's Divine Comedy Africa-style
Dante's Divine Comedy is a masterpiece of European literature.
Written 700 years ago for a Catholic, mainly Italian audience, the epic poem is still widely read today.
Now it has been re-imagined by 40 of Africa's leading contemporary artists. Their travelling exhibition has just arrived in Washington at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
