London Road audience reviews film about Ipswich murders
Cinema-goers in Ipswich were among the first to see a film about the 2006 murders of five woman who worked as prostitutes in the town.
The musical, London Road, has been turned into a movie after a successful run in the theatre.
It focuses on residents' reactions to the killings and how the community pulled together and worked with police to end street prostitution.
Adam Cork, composer for the movie, told BBC Look East the people of Ipswich were "an example to everybody else in terms of what they've done with this awful, tragic situation".
Screenwriter Alecky Blythe added: "[Residents] lived through these dark times, were invaded by the press and wanted to share the positivity that they were discovering."
