Pankhurst: Suffragette premiere protest was 'fitting'
The great-granddaughter of the British suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, has described protests at the London premiere of a film about the movement as "fitting".

Campaigners lay down on the red carpet, shouting slogans and displaying posters condemning cuts to domestic violence services and demanding equality in Parliament.
Suffragette tells the story of young East End laundry woman, Maud Watts, played by Carey Mulligan, who becomes an activist fighting to gain women the vote.
