Tintin exhibition reveals Herge's secrets
Herge's Tintin is one of the most recognisable comic book characters ever created.
The boy reporter and his faithful dog Snowy travelled the world, foiling dastardly plots and gaining legions of fans, including Andy Warhol and the Dalai Lama, along the way.
Translated into 90 languages and selling in excess of 200 million copies, the cartoons remain popular to this day.
As a new exhibition celebrates Tintin and his creator at Somerset House in London. arts reporter Marilyn Rust talked to "Tintinologist" and friend of Herge, Michael Farr, who helped put together the show.
