Paul McCartney crossed Abbey Road dressed as a werewolf
The pedestrian crossing outside Abbey Road Studios is visited by thousands of Beatles fans every year.
The crossing - which has listed status - became famous after Iain Macmillan photographed the band walking across it for the cover of their 1969 album Abbey Road.
Its lure is so strong that even Sir Paul McCartney was tempted to retrace his steps. But, he told BBC 6 Music, he had to go in disguise to avoid causing a scene.
The musician was talking to Shaun Keaveny's Breakfast Show, along with Ringo Starr and Ron Howard, ahead of the release of the Beatles' documentary Eight Days A Week.
