Louise Minchin to leave BBC Breakfast

Presenter Louise Minchin has revealed she is stepping down after more than 20 years on BBC Breakfast.

Speaking to viewers on the programme, she said she had enjoyed her two decades on the sofa but "it's time I stopped setting my alarm for 03:40".

Minchin told viewers she will leave the show later in the year.
