Living with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
Scientists from Cardiff University say they've found the first direct evidence of a genetic link to attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD.
The researchers believe the disorder is a brain condition like autism and not the fault of bad parenting.
Sharon Fuccilo and her 13-year-old son Matthew have battled with the social stigma surrounding ADHD for years. Matthew was diagnosed when he was four and they have learned to live with and control the condition, in part with medication.
They told the BBC about the challenges of living with ADHD and how they hope the new report will help people understand the condition.
