'Privileged to be the parents of two beautiful boys'

George and Helen Ashton said they were "proud and privileged to be parents of two beautiful boys" following years of failed fertility treatment.

Thanks to new pioneering IVF treatment know as Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) the couple were given the chance they had been hoping for.

The breakthrough technology which tests for genetic abnormalities in embryos increases the chances of a successful pregnancy.

The couple's baby sons Alex and Louis are thought to be the first babies born in the UK using the technique.

The Ashtons spoke to Susanna Reid and Bill Turnbull on BBC Breakfast.
