Nurses 'trained to promote dignity'

Nurses training at Thames Valley University are taught to "prioritise patient dignity", according to head of nursing Professor Ian Peate.

At the simulation centre nurses practice with a life-like mannequin which can respond to questions in a realistic manner to prepare students for real people.

The treatment of elderly patients in England has been criticised by the Health Service Ombudsman.
