Cigarette branding plans 'will stop young smoking'
Tougher plans over the way cigarettes are sold and promoted in England are being set out by Health ministers.
The measures are part of a plan to drive down smoking rates, particularly among young people, and could see the end of prominent displays in shops and branded cigarette packets.
Andrea Crossfield, director of anti smoking group Smokefree North West, said most smokers had taken up the habit by the age of 18.
