Mark Porter of the BMA: NHS is in 'continuous reform'

The government has launched a new push to convince critics that the NHS changes contained in its Health and Social Care bill are right.

Sticking with the status quo is not an option, the prime minister told a special news conference held at a hospital in Surrey.

But Dr Mark Porter, who represents hospital consultants for the British Medical Association, said he hoped the government would start to reflect on why so many people are opposed to the plans.
