Should the NHS pay for weight-loss schemes?

Debbie Rugg, 22, from Somerset, dropped from a size 20 to a size 12 after being referred by her doctor to a private weight-loss scheme.

A five-year study by Slimming World found more than two thirds of the 35,000 people on a 12-week course lost about a stone during that period.

However, some health groups have criticised the government for using private weight-loss organisations.
