NHS dentistry proposals could mean fewer check-ups

Sixty practices in England are taking part in a project to try out a new style of NHS dental contract.

Dentists are being paid per patient, allowing more control over how money is spent, including key areas such as prevention and education in dental care.

It would also mean those with good dental health, may not have to visit the dentist so frequently.
