Susanne Remic: 'I felt like I was on a production line'

Parts of England are facing big midwife shortages, putting mothers and babies at risk, according to the Royal College of Midwives.

It says there are shortfalls across the country, but some areas are far worse than others.

Susanne Remic has told the BBC of her experiences at a Bolton hospital.

She is expecting her third child in February, but says she feels "traumatised" by her experiences of childbirth so far.

The hospital where she gave birth to her first two children, Eva and Luka, "did not have enough staff to care for the women there", she said.

"I felt like I was on a production line", she added.
