Nearly 50,000 NHS jobs 'under threat'
A row has broken out between nursing leaders and the government over the number of jobs being cut in the NHS.
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) says almost 50,000 jobs will go in England's health service by 2014.
The government has accused the RCN of scaremongering - and says efficiency savings can be made at the same time as improvements in patient care.
