Burstow: NHS 'has a long way to go' on dementia

There have been calls for "a radical shake-up" in the way hospitals in England and Wales treat dementia patients, after a survey showed that only a third of staff felt they had received enough training.

The audit by the Royal College of Psychiatrists also found that treatment is often given "in an impersonal manner".

Care Services Minister Paul Burstow told Breakfast's Susanna Reid that the government is introducing new financial incentives to encourage hospitals to do more.
