'My ski helmet saved my life'

With Europe's skiing season in full swing, debate is continuing about whether skiers should wear helmets.

Many experts say they should be compulsory but others believe that may fuel a dangerous sense of complacency.

Seventeen-year-old Gregor Samuels, a member of the British freestyle boarding team, is only just back on the pistes after a badly executed jump last year in Colorado left him in a coma for four weeks and in hospital for four months.

Gregor and his mother Suzanne spoke to BBC News about the accident and why they believe his helmet saved his life.
