Cancer carers could be missing out on financial support

A charity has found that people who care for those with cancer are potentially missing out on help.

Macmillan Cancer Support says only a fraction of carers who look after someone with the disease have had help from their local authority.

Their report suggests that only 5% had been assessed, which meant that many could be missing out on extra practical, financial and emotional help.

Radio 5 live Morning Reports spoke to Tracy Cooper from Derbyshire who cares for her son and husband who both have cancer.
