GlaxoSmithKline on new tropical disease fight

Sir Andrew Witty, the chief executive of GlaxoSmithKline, has outlined how the pharmaceutical industry is coming together to coordinate research and donate drugs aimed at tackling ten neglected tropical diseases.

Thirteen companies including GlaxoSmithKline have committed to the plan.

Sir Andrew told the BBC's Fergus Walsh that expertise and resources were being pooled in order to eradicate diseases.
