Patients 'treated in corridors' according to RCN survey

Patients are being treated in corridors and left waiting on hospital trolleys for up to a day because of a lack of hospital beds, nurses have warned.

The Royal College of Nursing says staff working in and around A&E units across the country told them providing care in corridors had become a daily occurence.

The government says there are enough beds for such events not to be happening.
