Conjoined twins: Parents tell of joy after successful operation

The parents of conjoined twins who were separated at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London have said they are "doing well".

Ruby and Rosie Formosa, now aged 12 weeks old, were born joined at the abdomen and shared part of their intestine.

Their parents, Daniel and Angela Formosa, from Kent, said the babies were born at a healthy weight of 5lb 3oz each despite doctors expecting them to be tiny.
