The author of a damning report on failings at Stafford Hospital will hold private meetings later with relatives of some of those who died.

The report by Robert Francis QC highlighted "appalling and unnecessary suffering" that lead to hundreds of deaths between 2005 and 2008.

Another five hospitals in England are to be investigated following the inquiry.
