Save Stafford's A&E department, say hospital supporters

As the future of the Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust is announced on Wednesday, two supporters of Stafford Hospital explained why they are defending the services currently available.

Mark Saville, a nurse at Stafford Hospital, says the hospital has seen "a total transformation" and that completely closing the A&E department "would be a disaster."

Cheryl Porter, vice-chair of Support Stafford Hospital, said the hospital was now one of the top 20 in the country, with its A&E considered among the top 10.
