UK doctors 'flee NHS for overseas' says RCGP

A constant barrage of negative headlines about the NHS is leading to a growing number of doctors fleeing Britain to practice abroad, according to the Royal College of General Practitioners.

It comes as figures from the doctors' regulator, the General Medical Council, show there has been a rise in the number of doctors applying for a certificate which enables them to work in another country.

The government is being urged to come up with more incentives for British doctors to stay in the UK.
