A&E pressure 'dangerous' for NHS

The NHS is "on the brink of a very dangerous winter", Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham has said.

A report from the College of Emergency Medicine says excessive pressure on accident and emergency departments is causing staff sickness and career burn out.

The government says it is investing heavily in emergency care, but Mr Burnham says too many people are waiting too long to be seen.
