Digital autopsies: Non-surgical technique launched in Sheffield

A pioneering non-surgical technique for carrying out autopsies is being launched in Sheffield.

The new procedure uses 3D scanning equipment to determine the cause of death without the need to open up the body.

The conventional autopsy process can be distressing for families and is opposed by some communities on religious grounds.
