Global resistance to TB drugs is 'ticking time bomb'

Tuberculosis has often been described as a "ticking time bomb", and now the potentially deadly lung disease has become resistant to many of the drugs used to treat it.

The World Health Organisation says almost 500,000 people around the globe were diagnosed with the drug-resistant TB last year.
