NICE urges greater action on steroids

Drugs workers must do more to help the growing number of people injecting themselves with steroids, the health watchdog says.

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) says there has been a dramatic increase in those using performance or image enhancing drugs in the last few years.

Steroids are a class C drug and are legal to possess but their side effects range from acne and hair loss to heart and liver problems.
