Father of son with autism calls for local treatment

The father of a boy with severe autism who is being treated at a unit 260 miles away from his family has called for local care to be provided.

Phillip Wills said he feared that his son, Josh, may not be able to survive much longer being so far away from friends and his home region.

His parents, who have travelled a total of 40,000 miles to visit him, have started a petition to bring him home.
