Lynda Bellingham cancer: Decision 'dreadful'

Actress Lynda Bellingham says she plans to stop receiving chemotherapy for her terminal cancer in November.

The 66-year-old Oxo advert star and Loose Women panellist told the Sunday Mirror she wanted one last Christmas with her family, and then pass away "the natural way".

5 live caller Barry, from North Yorkshire, said he faced a similar "dreadful situation" in 2001 when his partner Eileen, who had aggressive breast cancer, decided to stop treatment.

He told BBC Radio 5 live's Sam Walker: "It scars your life. It makes you realise the importance of making the most of every day," he said.
