Drinking during pregnancy 'hurt my daughter'
A mother has told the BBC drinking during pregnancy left her daughter with both physical and behavioural problems.
She claimed drinking the equivalent of "a couple of large glasses of wine a couple of times a week" led to her daughter's hearing problems and aggressive nature.
The comments of the mother, who did not wish to be named, come as campaigners and doctors call for stronger warnings about drinking during pregnancy, ahead of a legal test case on foetal alcohol syndrome.
Her daughter has never undergone formal testing for foetal alcohol syndrome, but the condition has been informally diagnosed by healthcare professionals.
Listen to PM from 17:00 BST on BBC Radio 4, Monday to Saturday each week.
