CQC admits serious errors in GP safety risk ratings
The health watchdog for England, the Care Quality Commission, has admitted it made serious mistakes when ranking the standard of care provided by GP surgeries across England.
A BBC investigation uncovered errors in the methodology used by the CQC, and now the health regulator says hundreds of practices will have to "re-banded", with around 60 being moved out of the high-risk category.
