Jeremy Hunt: Ebola patient to fly to London

A healthcare worker who has just returned from West Africa has been diagnosed with Ebola and is being treated in hospital in Glasgow.

UK Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt confirmed that the woman would be flown to a specialist unit in London.

After chairing a meeting of the Whitehall Cobra contingencies committee in London, Mr Hunt said there would be a review of the "procedures and protocols" adopted by NHS workers and other government staff working in Sierra Leone.

He added that the government was doing "absolutely everything it needs to be" to keep the UK safe.
