New cancer task force hopes to increase early diagnosis

An independent cancer task force is being set up in England, to try to diagnose the disease earlier.

Currently, around 25% of cancer diagnoses are made too late.

Prime Minister David Cameron hopes it will see the brightest and best experts working on what more can be done to give everyone the best possible chance.

But the Labour party says treatment is still too slow and patients are being badly let down.

Hugh Pym reports.
