Cost of care: Video diary of search for a care home

Shortly before Christmas, 93-year-old care home resident Margaret Jones was told she would have to pay an £125-a-week top up fee, or move.

The care provider, Majesticare, has not commented on the case in which 12 other council-funded residents at the home in Somerset were also asked to pay a top-up fee, because the local authority could not afford to pay it.

Somerset County Council says it is finding new places for all those who have decided not to pay the fee.

Since December, Margaret's daughter Mary Pike has been trying to find an alternative home.

Mary recorded her and her mother's journey in a video diary for BBC News.
