Tube app: Guide for blind people on London Underground

The problems of navigating public transport for blind and partially-sighted people could soon become a thing of the past.

The BBC's health editor Hugh Pym has been given exclusive access to a new trial on the London Underground to help them get around independently using wireless technology.

If successful, the scheme, which involves a direction-giving app, could be rolled out to on public transport networks around the country.
