Philippines' 'booming qualification forgery' industry

Greater Manchester Police has described the investigation that led to the arrest and conviction for murder of nurse Victorino Chua as one of the biggest and most complex it has ever carried out.

Detectives investigating the killings at Stepping Hill Hospital flew to Chua's native Philippines, where their investigation has cast serious doubt over his medical qualifications.

It has also posed further questions about the way in which foreign nurses are recruited in the UK.

Abbie Jones reports.
