Bone drug may help prevent breast cancer deaths

A cheap drug commonly used to strengthen bones could help prevent deaths from breast cancer, according to new research.

Bisphosphonates reduced breast cancer deaths by 18% among women who had gone through the menopause.

It has been described by a leading cancer charity as one of the most important findings in breast cancer for a decade.
