Gluten-free products for coeliacs on NHS to be assessed

For three decades, people with coeliac disease have been able to claim gluten-free staples like bread and pasta on prescription.

However, health providers in some areas have decided that it is time to reassess whether providing food, which is now widely available in most supermarkets, is really a wise use of NHS money.
