Alzheimer's disease: 'No data link to surgery'

Eric Karran from Alzheimer's Research UK has told the BBC there is no data which links contracting Alzheimer's disease to surgery.

This follows researchers suggesting the disease might be infectious.

The "theoretical hunch" comes from post-mortem brain studies in eight patients.
