Womb transplants: 'It would be an absolute gift'

A woman who may benefit from womb transplantation in the UK says carrying her own child would be "an absolute gift".

Sophie Lewis has Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome (MRKH) which means she was born without a uterus.

She had thought she would have to adopt or use a surrogate to have a child but says this news gives "real encouragement to everyone".
