Junior doctors march over contract dispute

Thousands of junior doctors have taken part in rallies in London, Nottingham and Belfast in protest at government plans to change their contracts in England from next year.

They say their pay will be cut, as they will lose extra money for working late evenings and Saturdays.

The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said that basic salaries would rise - and that maximum weekly working hours would be reduced.

Scotland and Wales have both said they will maintain the old contract, while Northern Ireland has yet to decide.

Sophie Hutchinson reports.
