Inventors scrap isolation and take to the internet

Inventors across the US have moved out of their labs and onto the internet in an effort to collaborate and push innovation.

Ben Kaufman, the founder of web startup Quirky.com, says internet technology is now bringing like-minded creators together to help push the limits on collaboration and creation.

"The reality is that because of the internet and because of all the technologies that we have out there now, inventors can test their theories and innovations in such a low risk way," he says.
