Elvis, Marilyn and the social media lives of dead celebrities

Some social media accounts belonging to deceased celebrities continue to live on long after the stars themselves die. But who is running these accounts and for what reason?

Marilyn Monroe's Twitter and Facebook pages continue to update her fans on products related to the long-dead celebrity on behalf of a branding company which owns her estate and profits from her image.

Meanwhile, Elvis Presley's social media presence is managed from within Graceland, his mansion in the US state of Tennessee.
